Kvantify was founded by Allan Grønlund, Hans Henrik Knudsen, and Nikolaj T. Zinner, born out of an ambition to tackle the most complex computational challenges in industry through quantum computing. After an initial scoping phase in late 2021, Kvantify was incorporated in early 2022 with an unusually large angel investment serving as startup capital to focus on building a strong and globally competitive team to work across different verticals in both life science, chemistry, logistics, finance, and beyond. Since its early days Kvantify had a focus on both products and projects and received a number of large research grants to boost progress, including grants from the European Innovation Council and Innovation Fund Denmark. A particularly important milestone was the Accelerator grant awarded by the European Innovation Council to build a product around computational drug discovery and the adaptation of quantum computing into that field. This spurred both growth and intensified focus on chemistry and life science and was the backbone of new major equity investments both during and after the completion of the Accelerator project. Today, Kvantify has a team of highly specialized experts across physics, chemistry, quantum technologies, software development, drug discovery, and mathematics, and the company has positioned itself as a leader in the space between quantum computing and drug discovery. In 2025, the company appointed Dr. Jörg Weiser, former Managing Director at Schrödinger, as Executive Chairperson of the Board. With expertise and decades of experience building global businesses, Dr. Weiser brings invaluable strategic insights. Subsequently the company has accelerated its focus on productization of its early innovations and their commercialization.
